OUR PRIVACY POLICY

European law requirements

If European Union (EU) data protection law applies to the processing of your information, we provide the controls described in this policy so you can exercise your right to request access to, update, remove, and restrict the processing of your information. You also have the right to object to the processing of your information or export your information to another service.

We process your information for the purposes described in this policy, based on the following legal grounds.

 

Collection of Data

What data we collect, and how you can manage your information are described in this policy.

This retention policy describes why we hold onto different types of data for different periods of time.

Our policy is to retain data for limited periods when it needs to be kept for legitimate business or legal purposes. You can read further on about our data retention periods, including how long it takes us to delete your information.

We try to ensure that our services protect information from accidental or malicious deletion. Because of this, there may be delays between when you delete something and when copies are deleted from our active and backup systems.

 

How we retain data we collect:

Personal data that is collected from our Members registered with our Association or other Members registered with similar organisations that FATTA is a registered member or affliated with.

This data may include contacts registered with these organisations and with whom FATTA collaborates. Such data is passed on to us with the consent obtained from each “Data Subject” beforehand.

We can delete any of your data whenever you like by simply sending us an email. Some data is deleted automatically and some data we retain for longer periods of time when necessary in line with the GDPR regulations. When you instruct us to delete your data, we follow a deletion policy to make sure that your data is safely and completely removed from our servers or retained only in anonymised form

We review our information collection, storage, and processing practices, including physical security measures, to prevent unauthorized access to our systems.

 

With our Member’s consent

We ask for your permission to process your company’s and your personal contact information for specific purposes and you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

We’ll share your company’s and your personal information only when we have your specific consent and permission.

For example, From time to time we could ask for your (Member) consent to provide you with services related to your membership status with FATTA.

 

For external processing

In principle, we do not share your personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals unless there is a legal obligation to do so such as with the Registrar of Trade Unions as per the Industrial Relations Act – Trade Unions and Employers’ Association Regulations.

 

For legal reasons

In the course of our daily administrative duties, we rarely collect any sensitive personal data. The data we usually collect and store and only your company’s contact details and your personal email address.

We will only share any sensitive personal information, in any in our procession with third parties only with your explicit permission.

If in the future we shall be involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets as permitted by our statute, we’ll continue to ensure the confidentiality of your personal information and give affected users notice before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
